2011 News
Our former brood mare Pantanamlwg Film Star has been out contesting HOYS qualifiers and doing brilliantly.
Our former stud stallion Grovewestparc Milligan is now doing open workers, and won at Hambledon.
The part-bred 2yo Burnmoor Sandstorm went to her second show in April and was 1st SHP and 2nd PB Arab, and qualified for NCPA POY 2011.
Burnmoor Rhodri: at the age of 18, is still successfully showjumping on loan.
Our star so far this year must be Burnmoor Rhys, who went to the National Side-Saddle Championships in August, won the M & M championship, 2nd in the pony rider showjumping and jumped a full up 3 foot course against all the big horses. This combined with a good equitation score, put his owner/rider Sarah Frank through to the final four for the ride-off for the rider of the year, where she was 3rd against experienced opposition & won the amateur reserve championship. Sarah has recently bought the 2yo part-bred Burnmoor Star Attraction (by the elite graded dressage horse County Farm Top Dollar) - let's hope the filly can live up to Rhys's achievements.

Burnmoor Caradog (Lodor William x Rossway Bronwen) - Having won the workers at South of England and Stafford, he qualified for RIHS and HOYS (the latter for the sixth time in 8 years). He has jumped clear everytime and has always been placed. At the age of 15, he must surely be one of the most consistent natives (of all breeds) of all time in WHP classes.
Burnmoor Aron: (Grovewestpark Milligan x Rossway Naomi) - In his first season under saddle, Aron has won or been placed every time out, in good company. His easy temperament and smart action is being passed onto his foals (see Stallions page).
Burnmoor Merlyn Mawr: (Grovewestpark Milligan x Rossway Bronwen) - Having been sold into the North East, his new owner has broken him in and he has started jumping, showing the natural aptitude he was bred for.
Pantanamlwg Film Star: - After a number of years at the stud as a brood mare, she is now being produced under saddle and has already done well in County shows and Open classes (whilst still a novice) - always in the ribbons.

His placings were 5th, 1st, 2nd and 2nd respectively in each of these years. Burnmoor Caradog (1994) (Lodor William x Rossway Bronwen) owned by Mrs P Cox, rider Leanne Cox (Suffolk). Whilst still a novice in 2002 - then owned by Ms C Gornall and ridden by Jamie Gornall - he qualified for HOYS and was a creditable 5th in the WHP class. Together with his full brother Rhodri, they were the two highest placed Welsh Cobs in the competition. He was sold the day after this achievement to his current stable and had numerous successes, qualifying again for HOYS, and, jumping one of only 4 clear rounds, finished a creditable 4th to his brother. In 2004 he has had great success, and once again qualified for HOYS where he was 5th in top class company, following his wins at Kent County and Ponies UK Summer Championships. In 2006 he again qualified for HOYS for the fourth time. As usual he jumped a faultless clear round in the final, to finish third and the highest placed Welsh Cob in working hunter at HOYS 2006. He had numerous other successes during the summer, including being on his winning Pony Club SJ team, and qualified for the Sansaw PC championships both on the team and as an individual. In addition, he qualified for RIHS at Hickstead for the first time, and jumped another faultless clear round to be second in the competition. In 2008 he was fourth at RIHS and 3rd at HOYS.
Burnmoor Rhys finished the 2006 season with 43 British Dressage points, and qualified for both Winter and Summer Regional Finals at Novice level. He has since been competing at affiliated Medium level, winning with scores of over 60%, and qualified for the 2007 Winter Regionals at this higher level. He represented the Northern region at the U21 Internationals at Wicklow (Ireland), scored highly at the U25 championships (Sheepgate) and won one of the junior Derby tests, being the highest scoring member of his team. He combines all this with several successes at the side-saddle championships in 2007 & 2008, and is a truly versatile Cob.

Burnmoor Aron (2005) (Grovewestparc Milligan x Rossway Naomi), was lightly shown in 2006, culminating in his win at the Midlands in-hand championship in September in the youngstock (3 year-old and under) Welsh Cob class - a yearling beating his older rivals! In 2003, the BSJA discontinued their junior pony rankings, but Delyth had numerous wins, and, if the list of winnings was still available, she would be well up in the order. In 2004, following her success at the Welsh Home Pony International, she once again qualified for HOYS, this time in the open class.
